Pilot support to the incorporation of technologies in transport in Temuco and Villarrica
In 2016, the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications of Chile (MTT) launched the Special Pilot Program to Support the Incorporation of Technologies in Transportation, with which it sought to strengthen public transport systems in the regions through projects that incorporate new technological systems.
To achieve this goal, the Operational Infrastructure Area of everis Ingeniería is working on three innovative projects for the digital transformation of the bus network in the cities of Temuco and Villarrica based on the implementation of the Moverick solution, a platform developed by our team that allows the integrated management of mobility in urban and interurban environments.
These projects, which are already benefiting the more than 300,000 citizens who live in the aforementioned Chilean cities, consist of the introduction of new electronic payment models (contactless prepaid card and QR codes through the Moverick application for mobile devices) in Villarrica and Temuco, and a real-time information system for drivers, users and public transport operator companies in Villarrica that can offer more and better information about the service.
All these advances have made it possible, on the one hand, to improve the operation of the service and facilitate the work of drivers and operators, and, on the other, to promote a safer, more comfortable and more efficient public transport service for users.
