Monitoring the water quality of the domiciliary supplies is a huge challenge due to the amount of potentially contaminating substances. That is why, with the aim of protecting the supply networks, the everis Ingeniería team has developed SWALERT, a monitoring and protection system for critical water infrastructures that carries out processes of analysis, detection, warning and support in the Decision making in the event of a contamination episode, all in real time.
SWALERT guarantees safety during the processes of drinking water supply and represents an important advance in the implementation of technology applied to the field of urban water management. It does this through a nonspecific sensor that, by detecting the physical-chemical trace of the contaminant through the variation of a small set of parameters, provides the operator with a contamination warning for a very wide range of substances.
